Correcting the status of unlicensed therapists

The mechanism for addressing the status of practitioners who did not meet the re-licensing requirements was discussed, and the Council made the following decisions:

  • If the license has been expired for less than two years, the practitioner must pay the required fees, submit a BLS certificate, and provide proof of fulfilling the continuing education requirements for the entire past period.
  • If the license has been expired for more than two years, the practitioner loses their license and must reapply for the exam to obtain a new license.
