Professor Alia Alghwiri is a distinguished physical therapist who obtained her Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Neurological Rehabilitation from the University of Pittsburgh, USA, in 2011. She currently serves as a professor at the University of Jordan.

Professor Alghwiri has held several prominent leadership positions, including serving as an Executive Board Member and Chair of the Education Committee at World Physiotherapy (2022–2023), Vice Dean of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Jordan (2018–2023), President of the Jordanian Physiotherapy Society (JPTS) (2017–2020 and 2024–present), and Board Member of the Jordanian Sports Medicine Federation (2017–2023).

With over 14 years of clinical experience, Professor Alghwiri specializes in the treatment of patients with neurological disorders, particularly sport related concussion and vestibular disorders. Her expertise has contributed to significant improvements in athletes' functional outcomes.
